The top-seeded Drexel Dragons are getting everything they can handle from the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks during Saturday's 2012 CAA Men's Basketball Tournament game in Richmond. The Seahawks are shooting 43.5 percent from the field, and hold a 16-10 advantage on the boards going into halftime down just five points against a heavily favored opponent.
Keith Rendleman scored seven points on 3-for-4 shooting from the field to lead the Seahawks. Perhaps more importantly, forward Donte Morales has been solid on the boards, picking up six rebounds to go along with his four points. His physical play has helped make up for a 7-1 turnover advantage for the Dragons.
Chris Fouch accounted for the biggest chunk of Drexel's points, scoring 12 on 5-for-10 shooting from the floor. He is just 2-for-7 from beyond the 3-points line, however, and the Dragons are just 2-for-12 for the game. The Dragons will need a better performance from Damion Lee (1-for-4, 0-for-3 from 3-point range) if they hope to pull away in the second half.
