Drexel and VCU have appeared to be on a collision course in the 2012 CAA Tournament since it began. On Monday, they will finally meet in Richmond with an automatic berth in the 2012 NCAA Tournament on the line.
The top-seeded Dragons knocked off UNC-Wilmington and Old Dominion to reach the final, while No. 2 VCU, trying to return to the NCAA Tournament in hopes of staging another run to the Final Four to rival their effort in 2011, topped Northeastern and George Mason en route to its matchup with Drexel.
The two teams only met once this season, with Drexel pulling out a 64-58 home win in early January. But both teams have been superb since, with the Dragons reeling off 19-straight wins since a January loss to Georgia State, and the Rams winning 16 of 17 games since their loss to Drexel.
Neither team has the profile of an at-large NCAA Tournament team, so it's likely a win-or-go-home affair in Richmond on Monday night.
Game Date/Time: Monday, March 5, 7 p.m. ET
