The Big East Tournament bracket was set over the weekend with the Syracuse Orange claiming the top seed. That will allow Jim Boeheim's team a couple of days rest, considering his team doesn't play until Thursday, even though the schedule begins on Tuesday.
Syracuse, along with the Cincinnati Bearcats, Marquette Golden Eagles and Notre Dame Fighting Irish, all have what essentially amounts to a double-bye. South Florida, Louisville, Georgetown and West Virginia won't have to play until Wednesday, earning a first round bye as one of the top eight teams in the conference.
Tuesday's schedule, featuring the defending champion Connecticut Huskies, will be televised on ESPN2 and ESPNU while the remainder of the tournament will take place on ESPN.
