The 2012 Big 12 Tournament gets under way on Wednesday. The four-day competition for the conference championship and accompanying 2012 NCAA Tournament bid will begin with a matchup between the No. 8 seed Oklahoma Sooners and the No. 9 seed Texas A&M Aggies.

The two teams faced off twice during the regular season. In their first meeting in January, The Aggies won at home in overtime, 81-75. In the rematch and regular-season finale on March 3, The Sooners got their own home win, 65-62.

The game will tip off at 6 p.m. ET and will air on the Big 12 Network.

The winner of the game will advance to the quarterfinals on Thursday, where they will face off against the No. 1 seed Kansas Jayhawks.
