The first round of the 2012 Big 12 Tournament brings about quite a few interesting matchups, but Wednesday night's game between the Texas Tech Red Raiders and Oklahoma State Cowboys doesn't look like one of them. The Red Raiders won just one game during the conference schedule, making them a long shot to advance too far.
The two teams will tip-off at 9:30 on the Big 12 Network in their quest to advance through to the second round of the tournament. Either team will be a big underdog in that game anyway, though, considering the Missouri Tigers are waiting.
Texas Tech's only win during the conference schedule came while playing the Oklahoma Sooners at home. They surprisingly were able to pick up an 18-point victory in that contest despite Jordan Tolbert, the team's only player averaging double-digits in points, scoring just nine points.
Oklahoma State had an up-and-down Big 12 campaign, but senior guard Keiton Page will be doing everything he can to go out on his sword during his last season with the Cowboys. Page averaged 16.8 points during the season, including a recent 40-point effort against the Texas Longhorns.
