The 2012 Pac-12 Tournament is close to ending its Day 1 schedule following the Stanford Cardinal's 85-65 victory over the No. 10 Arizona St. Sun Devils. The Cardinal move on to face the No. 2 California Golden Bears on Thursday night.
The Sun Devils opened the game with a 3-0 lead and it all went downhill from there. The Cardinal just pulled away during the remainder of the first half, ending it with a 50-30 lead. The second half was closer in that neither team won that part of the game -- the score was 35-35 for those 20 minutes.
Chasson Randle was the dominant force for the Cardinal, with 30 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and 10-of-12 at the free throw line. Aaron Bright and Jarrett Mann chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively, to join Randle in double digits.
Chanse Creekmur led the Sun Devils with 13 points, but the team shot just 40 percent as a whole. They struggled from the free throw line, sinking just 18 of 29 shots.
