SEC Tournament 2012 Schedule: Day 1's Bracket Begins With LSU Vs. Arkansas

The 2012 SEC Tournament takes place at New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, La., and the No. 8 LSU Tigers are in home territory for Thursday's game against the No. 9 Arkansas Razorbacks. Of course, should the Tigers advance, the No. 1-seed, national poll-leading Kentucky Wildcats await them Friday afternoon.

With Kentucky, the No. 2 Tennessee Volunteers, the No. 3 Vanderbilt Commodores and the No. 4 Florida Gators all waiting for their Friday games, we won't see many major upsets on Day 1. Thursday's Game 2 might be the only contest that could result in an upset: the No. 12 South Carolina Gamecocks won just two games in the SEC this season and will go up against the nine-win No. 5 Alabama Crimson Tide.

A full 2012 SEC Tournament bracket can be found here (PDF). Below is the complete schedule for Day 1:
