ACC Tournament Schedule 2012: NC State vs. Boston College

The 2012 ACC Tournament schedule will continue on Thursday afternoon with the Boston College Eagles taking on the North Carolina St. Wolfpack. The conference tournament meeting will mark the third time the two teams will meet this season.

NC State got off to a terrific start this season, but a four-game losing streak during the heart of their conference schedule bumped them to a five-seed in the ACC Tournament. They shouldn't have too much trouble with No. 12 Boston College, however, considering the Wolfpack swept the regular season series.

The Wolfpack is currently a part of SB Nation's last four out, according to the latest bracketology post, meaning at least a win on Thursday is imperative if they want to stay in the hunt for an NCAA Tournament berth. They'll get that opportunity when their game against Boston College tips off at 2 p.m. ET on ESPNU.

Boston College only had two players average more than 10 points per game during the regular season, but considering nobody averaged more than 11, the nice thing to conclude is that they were a very ... balanced team. Freshman forward Ryan Anderson averaged10.8 points and 7.2 rebounds, both team highs.

The winner of Thursday afternoon's game will meet the the No. 4 seed, the Virginia Cavaliers, in the second round.
