ACC Tournament Bracket Update, Florida State Vs. Miami: Seminoles Grind Out 82-71 Win

The fate of the Miami Hurricanes is now in the hands of the NCAA Tournament selection committee. One win over Georgia Tech in the first round of the ACC Tournament might have been enough to push them into the NCAA Tournament, but they'll be biting their nails on Selection Sunday after losing to the Florida State Seminoles on Friday night. The game was close throughout, but FSU held onto the lead they build in the first half to prevail, 82-71.

Miami threatened to get back into the game on multiple occasions in the second half, coming within three points of the 'Noles on a few occasions, but Leonard Hamilton's team always had an answer and pulled away in the final three minutes. Michael Snaer led the Seminoles and all scorers with 20 points while four FSU players scored in double figures. The biggest difference between the two teams was at the free-throw line; Florida State was 25-32 while Miami got to the line just 13 times.

Florida State moves on to face Duke in the ACC Tournament semifinals on Saturday. North Carolina plays NC State in the other semifinal.
