Arizona has extended the contract of 2010 Pac-10 Coach of the Year Sean Miller through the 2016-17 season.

The Arizona Board of Regents has approved an extension of University of Arizona men's basketball coach Sean Miller's contract through the 2016-17 season.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank President (Ann Weaver) Hart, Dr. (Eugene) Sander and Greg Byrne for their continued belief in me as the Head Basketball Coach at the University of Arizona," Miller said in a release. "During the last three years we have been able to lay a strong foundation for future success both in the classroom and on the basketball court. I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead as we work toward building our program into a national contender once again."

Miller has produced an overall record of 69-35 in three seasons at Arizona. He was named Pac-10 Coach of the Year in 2012 after guiding the Wildcats to the league's regular season title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight.

Arizona is bringing in one of the nation's top recruiting classes and is expected by many to begin the 2012-13 season ranked in the top 25.
