Harvard's point guard Brandyn Curry has also been named in an academic scandal at Harvard, alongside his fellow captain and the team's leading scorer Kyle Casey.

Another key part of a Harvard team looking to head back to the NCAA Tournament is involved with an academic scandal at the school, as point guard Brandyn Curry has been named in addition to leading scorer and rebounder Kyle Casey.

Previous reports had only named Casey, but SI's Luke Winn now reports that Curry is also involved, as well as one still-unnamed player on the Harvard basketball team. Curry and Casey, both of whom are team captains, aren't an example of a widespread athletics scandal at the prestigious university, but rather an incident revolving around a take-home test in a government class where 125 out of 279 students are accused of cheating in some way. However, their involvement in the "academic dishonesty" could lead to a one-year suspension from the school, which could cost them a year of basketball eligibility. Curry's father said the senior was still deciding whether or not to withdraw from school to prevent losing his final season, as is Casey.

Curry was the successor to Jeremy Lin at the Crimson's point guard spot and averaged 7.9 points and 4.9 assists last season after career highs in both as a sophomore. Harvard has won 20 games in back-to-back-to-back seasons and made its first NCAA appearance since 1946 last year.
