Richmond, VA (Sports Network) - Kevin Anderson scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Richmond Spiders to a 60-56 win over the Dayton Flyers in an Atlantic 10 Conference showdown at the Robins Center.
David Gonzalvez added 14 points for the Spiders (23-7, 12-3 A-10), while Justin Harper chipped in with 13 points in the win.
Dayton (19-10, 8-7) was paced by Chris Johnson, who totaled 13 points and nine rebounds in a losing effort. Marcus Johnson also got involved, netting 10 points for the Flyers.
Despite shooting just 33.3 percent from the floor in the first half, Dayton still managed to take a 29-25 lead at the break.
Richmond stormed back in the second stanza, knocking down 5-of-9 three-point attempts, en route to a four-point victory.
The Spiders were tenacious on defense, limiting the Flyers to 34.0 percent shooting from the floor, while forcing 20 turnovers in the win.
