West Lafayette, IN (Sports Network) - JaJuan Johnson scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, as sixth-ranked Purdue thumped Iowa, 63-40, at Mackey Arena.

E'Twaun Moore had 11 points and three steals for the Boilermakers (21-3, 9-3 Big Ten), who extended their winning streak to seven games.

"We try to get the ball inside to establish (JaJuan's) presence," said Purdue head coach Matt Painter. "We try our best to get JaJuan the ball in a lot different positions. I thought he did a great job of being ready to play and having that focus."

Cully Payne finished with 11 points and six assists for the Hawkeyes (9-17, 3-10), who have dropped five of six.

Iowa was limited to 15 points on 25 percent shooting in the first half and trailed by 19 at the break.

After being held scoreless over the final six-plus minutes of the opening frame, the Hawkeyes began the second half on a 13-5 burst to whittle the deficit to 39-28 on a Brennan Cougill shot from beyond the arc.

Purdue answered with a 12-1 surge to grab a 51-29 lead with nine minutes to play. The end result was never in question.

Purdue improved to 12-1 at home this season and has won seven straight over the Hawkeyes...Robbie Hummel finished with nine points, seven rebounds and four assists for the Boilermakers.
