Pullman, WA (Sports Network) - Reggie Moore scored 19 points to lead the Washington State Cougars to a 65-60 victory over the Oregon State Beavers in a Pac-10 Conference battle at Friel Court.
Marcus Capers added a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds for WSU (11-3, 1-1 Pac10), which has won five of its last six games.
Calvin Haynes netted 17 points for Oregon State (6-7, 0-2), while Daniel Deane posted 15 points and seven rebounds.
The Cougars went into the break with a 29-24 advantage after holding the Beavers to a meager 25.9 percent shooting effort from the field in the opening half.
Washington State used a respectable 48.0 percent shooting effort from the floor in the second stanza and went on to win by a five-point margin.
The Cougars shot 51.2 percent from the field in the contest and held Oregon State to a mere 36.5 percent showing.
