Recap: Arizona vs. Vanderbilt

Maui, HI (Sports Network) - A.J. Ogilvy scored 20 points, pulled down seven rebounds and blocked four shots as 24th-ranked Vanderbilt topped Arizona, 84-72, in the fifth-place game of the Maui Invitational.
Jeffery Taylor contributed 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Commodores (4-1), who also received 18 points and five assists from Jermaine Beal.
Vanderbilt used a 14-2 run in the second half to gain the lead and extended the margin in the final minutes to win its second consecutive game after losing its tournament-opener to Cincinnati. Vanderbilt went 18-of-26 from the field in the second half to finish the game shooting 53.4 percent.
Solomon Hill had 17 points to pace the Wildcats (3-2), who needed overtime to beat Colorado on Tuesday. Kyle Fogg scored 10 in defeat.
A three-pointer by Brendon Lavender expanded Arizona's lead to 54-49 with 12:09 left, but Vandy then went on its game-changing surge. Ogilvy started it with a three-point play, and another one from John Jenkins gave the Commodores the lead for good at 57-56. Taylor capped the burst with a layup with 8:02 remaining.
Arizona trimmed the margin to a pair a few times, the last at 69-67 following a jumper from Fogg with 5:07 left, but Vandy scored the next eight. Ogilvy jammed to begin the push and a three-point play from Steve Tchiengang ended the run to essentially seal the victory with 3:37 left.
It was tight throughout most of the first half, but Arizona held a 41-36 edge at the break.
Arizona shot 43.3 percent from the field...Vandy ended 15-of-29 from the foul line...The Commodores host Missouri next Wednesday, while Arizona's next game is that same night at home against UNLV.
