NBA training camp invites for the 2011-12 season should be more interesting than most considering teams will have just two weeks to install new offenses, get into game shape and whittle themselves down to a 15-man roster before the games actually begin to matter.

The Canton Charge will host the Iowa Energy in the opening game of the NBA Development League season on Friday night. The D-League game will be televised live on NBA TV.

Edwin Ubiles will play for the Dakota Wizards this season. He played for the Puerto Rican national team this summer, stealing the spotlight from J.J. Barea (in this picture).

The 2011 NBA Development League Draft took place last Thursday night and, after a weekend that was almost as much of a whirlwind as a draft, Ridiculous Upside has decided it is ready to discuss the draft.
