Now that Andray Blatche has essentially become a nonentity with regard to the Washington Wizards, Jordan Crawford has received the torch as "The Wizard the fan base most wants to rip on."

To wit: this is from Bullets Forever's season-ending evaluation.

If we were rating the Wizards on "success + degree of difficulty," Jordan Crawford would undoubtedly earn 10s across the board. However, if we were to continually reward the amazing over the practical, JaVale McGee would have always scored 15s on our 10 point scale.

JaVale McGee Does Not, In Fact, Own Two Platypus'

Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee apparently decided that with the off season now in full swing, he had nothing better to do than engage in some high class trolling on Twitter. His idea was certainly interesting enough, as McGee started tweeting early on Monday that he had, at some point, acquired two platypus'.

Even better, the two platypus' were named Peter and Paul and apparently were poisoning him until his hand turned 'Barney Purple'. Naturally, this created a bit of a stir in the media, where making fun of JaVale McGee has been a fun past time for quite a while now. Some big names picked up the story.

Jokes on them!

Turns out that McGee was playing them for fools the entire time and had crafted the story as a fun joke.

JaVale McGee Might Be A Naturalized Citizen Of The Philippines Soon

So, Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee had a pretty good postseason performance -- though it ended after seven games. What else is in store for the restricted free agent? Citizenship in the Philippines!

There is currently a bill in the Filipino House of Representatives that would grant McGee naturalized citizenship if the law-making body passes it. If that happens, McGee would then be eligible to play for the SMART-Gilas Pilipinas national team.

McGee did play in the Philippines twice during the NBA lockout, giving him some connection to the country.

JaVale McGee Is On His Way To Becoming A Naturalized Filipino Basketball Star

JaVale McGee has certainly taught the basketball world to expect the unexpected when it comes to his career, so the newest development featuring the Denver Nuggets' big man probably shouldn't be all that surprising. It still kind of is, though.

In important Filipino politics news, there's a bill circulating through the House of Representatives that would make McGee -- the 7 footer born and raised in Michigan -- an official citizen of the Philippines. Not for nothing, of course, but so that he'd be eligible to play for the country's national team.

A bill has been filed in the House of Representatives to naturalize Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee to make him eligible for the SMART-Gilas Pilipinas national team.

Antipolo City representative Robbie Puno filed House Bill 6169, which would make McGee a Filipino citizen. Puno, in his bill's cover letter, cited McGee's "remarkable track record in the United States' professional basketball scene" as consideration for his inclusion in the SMART-Gilas program.

McGee made headlines in the Philippines last summer while waiting on the lockout to end, leading to quite a bit of talk that he might join the Filipino basketball team at some point in the future.

Most assumed that was all talk, but now that there's an actual bill going through the government, things are seemingly heading further in that direction.

The basketball lovers in the Philippines deserve NBA talent in their country as often as possible. McGee, though not exactly technically sound, should be able to add to the fun brand of basketball the Philippines became famous for around the world following the publication of this excellent book by Rafe Bartholomew.

And seriously, imagine all of the awesome goaltends he'll commit!

VIDEO: Metta World Peace Makes His Triumphant Return From Suspension

As noted all over the basketball world, Metta World Peace will be returning from his seven-game suspension to play Game 7 for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night. The Lakers surely hoped World Peace's return would come sometime in the second round against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but alas, they have not been able to put away a suddenly-confident Nuggets team.

So, instead, World Peace has to come and save the day for the Lakers on Saturday. We're not exactly sure how World Peace plans to re-introduce himself to the Lakers, Nuggets and NBA fans everywhere. However, we here at SB Nation have obtained a copy of something World Peace recorded of himself as he was brainstorming ideas.

JaVale McGee led the Nuggets to a Game 5 win in L.A. over the Lakers, staving off elimination for at least another two days and giving Denver the opportunity to send it to seven back at home. Then, he met Craig Sager for an uncomfortable post-game talk.

After that, he launched the game ball into orbit.

"Good toss, Vale!" says man in tailored gray suit, who then offers a buttslap.

Technically speaking, throwing the ball into the stands is worth an automatic ejection. It's unclear as to whether that rule will extend to a post-game celebration and also whether NBA law applies to players born on other planets. There may be some sort of diplomatic immunity involved.

JaVale McGee was interviewed live on ESPN after the Denver Nuggets' win over the Los Angeles Lakers. This is where we pause to let you digest that; McGee was so good, he was the featured postgame interview. The story in itself is good enough, but when we add in Pam McGee, his mother? Then it gets better.

Now, you may wonder why McGee's mom goes from smiling to death stare with the quickness:

This is what happened: McGee's mother has that "I'm proud of my son" look while watching him being interviewed on the JumboTron. Then she realizes they're talking about her. Quickly, her beaming face shifts to the "You say something bad about me and I'm whipping your ass later" look. She goes from giddy to hell no with the quickness.

Pam McGee was the best part of last night by a mile.

Pam McGee was a terrific basketball player, winning two NCAA titles at USC and a gold medal for Team USA. Obviously, that takes incredible determination and intensity.

Her son, JaVale McGee, is 7'1" with pogo sticks for legs and the world's longest linguine for arms. He hasn't exactly been known for his intensity or focus throughout his NBA career. Ergo, Pam McGee, watching her son play in his first home playoff game ever, may be more intense than he has ever been. Witness!

Pam is definitely getting a tech for punching Matt Barnes at some point in this series.

JaVale McGee's mother is at Friday night's Denver Nuggets game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Her son is doing pretty good with eight points and nine rebounds at halftime.
