Early in the second quarter of Saturday's game, Miami quarterback Jacory Harris suffered an injury and left the game against Virginia. Right after letting loose a deep ball that was ultimately intercepted, Harris suffered a violent hit to the chest and appeared to land hard on his head/neck area.
Harris remained on the ground for several minutes while the Miami staff tended to him, after which he rose to his feet and was helped off the field. We don't yet know the nature of Harris' injury, but given the way he landed and his behavior after the hit, a concussion seems possible.
Harris, a junior, has led the Hurricanes to a 5-2 record in 2010. It's not yet known whether Harris will be able to return to the game. Stay tuned to this StoryStream for further updates.

VIDEO: Jacory Harris' Injury-Inducing Hit
We still don't have official word from Miami regarding quarterback Jacory Harris' condition, but he didn't return in the second half, and it seems likely that he's out for the remainder of Saturday's game against Virginia.
Harris was helped off the field with each arm around a member of the Hurricanes' staff, but honestly, it was encouraging to see Harris walk off at least partially under his own power. It was a truly devastating hit. Watch:
The hit was delivered by Virginia's John-Kevin Dolce. It doesn't appear to be a late or dirty hit; the nature of the hit itself simply sent Harris' upper body slamming against the ground.
We'll pass on official word of Harris' condition as soon as it's made available. Stay tuned to this StoryStream for further updates.
