The Big Ten may not have a runaway champion, but the conference still has a few very good teams.
Three Big Ten teams take spots in the top 10 of the USA Today coaches poll for Week 13, with Wisconsin leading the way in fifth. Ohio State follows in seventh, and Michigan State re-enters the top 10 at 10th.
The conference isn't the best it has been in recent years, but it might be deeper. All three of those teams in the top 10 could still win the conference, and two of the three may still find themselves in BCS bowls in January. That's not a bad state of affairs for a conference that has been known more for BCS futility of late.
There is, however, the chance that Ohio State could play an SEC team in a BCS bowl this season. That has not worked out of late.
Full Big Ten rankings are as follows:
- No. 5 Wisconsin
- No. 7 Ohio State
- No. 10 Michigan State
- No. 24 Iowa
