Starting with 15 fresh minutes at the Utah 6-yard line, Andy Dalton throws an incomplete pass and TCU somehow elects to kick a field goal despite being up 37-0. (Did Gary Patterson see the Goonies sign?) In a bizarre twist of fortune, Utah's about to answer them.
In relatively short order (less than three minutes), Jordan Wynn and Matt Asiata take the Utes down the field, and a 23-yard pass to Kendrick Moeai sets up a 19-yard touchdown throw to Asiata. The Utes are on the board with 11:51 left to play. They won't catch TCU, but for the remaining fans, it's a nice gesture.
The Horned Frogs score again, and it's a weird one: Casey Pachall fumbles a carry on Utah's 21 at the end of the next drive, but Waymon James scoops it up and runs in for the score.
Close to six minutes remain on the clock, but both teams seem eager to be through. TCU and Utah trade time-killing drives, and we're all done in Utah. Final: TCU 47, Utah 7.
