Military Bowl, Maryland Vs. ECU: Terps Fans Start Swaggering Early

SB Nation's Maryland community, Testudo Times, gets good and cocky about their Terps' impending matchup with East Carolina in the 2010 Military Bowl. It's not the most unsafe position to take, given the Pirate's sorely awful defense and marked lack of prowess in the turnover department, but the superstitious among you might want to skip this post:

There's not a lot redeeming to be said about this bunch. One thing - and you can see how deep I'm reaching here - is that one of their most productive players is named after his position: the Pirates' starting outside linebacker and leading tackler is named Dustin Lineback.

If nothing else, this matchup should be plenty exciting and put up a lot of points. But I have much more confidence in Maryland's ability to stop to ECU's high-octane offense than the other way around.

The 2010 Military Bowl kicks off at 2:30 p.m. EST on Wednesday, December 29. The game will be televised on ESPN.
