Little Caesars Pizza Bowl: Toledo, Florida International Will Meet In Detroit

Do you like vacations in Detroit during the dead of winner? Middling mid-major teams matching-up in a bowl right up your alley? Do you feel like some free pizza? Then the Little Caesar Pizza Bowl is for you!

Toledo and Florida International square-off in the Little Caesar Pizza Bowl Dec. 26 at Ford Field. The Toledo Rockets finished the season at 8-4, good for second in the MAC’s Western division behind Northern Illinois. The Rockets picked up a signature win on Sept. 25, dropping Purdue on the road, 31-20.

Florida International started the season by stumbling out of the gates, stubbing its toe and falling into a puddle. The Golden Panthers lost their first four games of the year to non-conference opponents, yet recovered to find themselves in the Sun Belt Championship picture. FIU shared the Sun Belt title with Troy after both teams finished with a 6-2 conference record.

Bowl selections will continue to roll in all night, and we’ll be following them all right here. Stay tuned to this StoryStream through the selection show, browse our complete college football 2010 postseason schedule, and connect with Toledo and MAC fans at SB Nation’s Hustle Belt.
