On the heels of Joe Schad's report that Maryland has chosen Randy Edsall to replace Ralph Friedgen, the Baltimore Sun is reporting that while Maryland will announce a hiring on Monday, it has not chosen a coach yet.
Moreover, the Sun reports that Mike Leach is still a candidate for the job, according to a source.
The source said Leach remains a candidate along with Edsall.
Leach and Edsall are not the only candidates to have been invited to undergo the full set of interviews by Maryland. A third candidate was invited to do so but declined absent a committment from Maryland beforehand about his hiring, the source said.
Meanwhile, the Washington Post reports that Edsall is the front-runner for the Maryland job, and that Edsall and family are expected to travel to College Park and tour the Maryland campus today.
We'll update this StoryStream with details as they emerge.
