2011 Senior Bowl Weigh-Ins: Noel Devine Is Much Smaller Than Danny Woodhead

Stay connected with SB Nation

There was no Terrance Cody at the 2011 Senior Bowl weigh-ins though West Virginia's Noel Devine made some headlines for the opposite reason. Cody weighed in at 370 pounds last year sparking plenty of comments about how he would handle his weight in the pros. (Of course we can't mention Cody and the Senior Bowl without dropping a link to the picture of Cody's weigh-in at the Senior Bowl last year.)

Devine's getting similar weight questions but because of how small -- not ridiculously large -- he is. Wes Bunting of National Football Post gives us the skinny (zing!) on Devine's weight:

West Virginia RB Noel Devine was one of the only guys to weigh-in with shorts on, likely due to not wanting to display his thinner lower half. He weighed in at only 160-pounds and despite his muscular looking upper body, his lower half looked really frail.

So Devine is 5'7" and 160 pounds. For a reference, Patriots RB Danny Woodhead is 5'8" and 195 pounds.

Though the Senior Bowl weigh-ins are boring, they can occasionally work against someone. Weight questions may have been part of the reason Cody dropped to the second round last year. We'll see how it affects Devine in the 2011 NFL draft process.
