VIDEO: Miami (Ohio) Interim Coach Lance Guidry Gives Rousing Speech Before GoDaddy.com Bowl

When you're an interim head coach at a bowl game, you've got one shot to impress the world. Miami (Ohio) RedHawks interim head coach Lance Guidry took that chance and ran with it just before Thursday night's GoDaddy.com Bowl, giving the best pregame speech by an interim head coach in a bowl game ever. ESPN cameras were in the RedHawks locker room as Guidry got his motivation on in a passionate speech to his players.

For your viewing pleasure, from BubbaProg.

Lets break this sucker down, shall we? First, he's got a prop: the Miami helmet. Great first move. Every speech needs a visual aid. And a prop with historical significance? Spot on. Teach those kids their history.

Guidry compares the GoDaddy.com bowl to a fight, uses the chip on your shoulder motivational tool and implores his players to make history, all hallmarks of a good pregame speech. The delivery, subject matter and rousing finish all made his speech one of the finest. Never -- and I mean never -- has the GoDaddy.com Bowl been so significant as to elicit a passionate speech about the chance to make history.

Guidry did it all with a sweet drawl that made his words so utterly captivating.

A tip of the cap to Guidry. Here's hoping he gets his shot at the big time sometime soon; if for no other reason than to give us more amazing speeches.
