The No. 9 South Carolina Gamecocks are looking to end a six-game losing streak to the Auburn Tigers when the host the defending national champion at Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Auburn beat the Gamecocks 56-17 in the 2010 SEC Championship Game in Atlanta.

The Gamecocks are 4-0 on the season, and 2-0 within the SEC with wins over Georgia and Vanderbilt. The Tigers opened the season with back-to-back wins over Utah State and SEC rival Mississippi State before losing to Clemson two weeks ago. Auburn rebounded with a convincing win over Florida Atlantic last week.

While quarterback Stephen Garcia and running back Marcus Lattimore (611 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground) get all the headlines, the Gamecocks defense showed last week that they're capable of stuffing opposing offenses. Leading tackler Antonio Allen (36 tackles) had his second fumble return for a touchdown this season against the Commodores and true freshman Jadeveon Clowney has a team-high four quarterback sacks.

The defending champs are led by junior quarterback Barrett Trotter (61-99, 783 yards, eight touchdowns) and sophomore running back Michael Dyer. While he's behind Onterio McCalebb on the official depth chart, Dyer leads the Tigers with 62 rushing attempts for 426 yards and six touchdowns.
