The Sooners will be looking to regain the No. 1 ranking in their non-conference finale against unranked Ball State.

No. 2 Oklahoma will be looking to put on a bit of a show in an effort to regain the No. 1 spot in their non-conference finale. Last week, the Sooners looked a bit sluggish early on before beating Missouri 38-28 in their Big 12 opener. That was enough of an opening for voters to give the top spot LSU.

The Sooners will face a Ball State team that has displayed a solid offense, but does not exactly have a great history against ranked opponents. The Mid-America Conference school has lost 11 straight to Top 25 teams. They last faced a No. 2 team in 2006, when they lost 34-26 to Michigan.

The Cardinals are 3-1 and have scored an average of 27.5 points per game, but have also allowed nearly 26 per game. The gave up 37 points to No. 22 ranked South Florida earlier this year.

Game date, time: 7 pm ET, Saturday, Oct. 1

Location: Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, Norman, Ok.

TV channel: Fox Sports Southwest

Spread: Oklahoma favored by 37.5

Series history: First-ever meeting
