Texas Vs. Iowa State Update: Longhorns Keep Lead Static At 34-0

Stay connected with SB Nation

Maybe the Texas Longhorns decided to show mercy to the Iowa St. Cyclones during the second half of their Saturday game. After scoring 34 points in the first half, the Longhorns haven't put any points on the board. But Iowa State hasn't either, remaining on the wrong end of a potential shutout.

Texas attempted just six passes in the third quarter and has yet to possess the ball in the fourth quarter. Malcolm Brown and Foswhitt Whittaker have 55 and 50 yards on the ground, respectively. Jaxon Shipley is the top Longhorns receiver with four receptions for 116 yards a touchdown reception.

Iowa State has relied on Steele Jantz to pass the ball. He is 23-of-42 for 201 yards. Darius Reynolds has caught seven of those for 107 yards.
