The Ball St. Cardinals had this game close in the second quarter. Nearly three minutes into the period, Steven Schott kicked a field goal to bring the Cardinals to within four points, 10-6. And then Oklahoma proceeded to score 52 unanswered points.

Landry Jones threw four more touchdown passes after his first quarter score. He was efficient, completing 23-of-33 passes for 425 yards and five touchdowns. His two third quarter touchdown passes were deep passes to Ryan Broyles for 64 yards and to Jaz Reynolds for 56 yards. Both receivers went over 100 yards (109 for the former, 141 for the latter), but it was Broyles who had two touchdown receptions.

Walk-on running back Dominique Whaley continues to impress. He finished the game with 15 carries for 109 yards and two touchdowns.

Ball State quarterback Keith Wenning threw three interceptions and lost the ball on a run. Travis Lewis forced the fumble and saw Tom Wort return it 20 yards for a touchdown.

The 4-0 Sooners face the Texas Longhorns in the Red River Shootout next week.
