It was was supposed to be a premier prime time match up between the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Wisconsin Badgers wound up being a display of just how good Wisconsin is. Nebraska got out to a 14-7 lead, but after that it was all Wisconsin and all Russell Wilson everything, beating Nebraska 48-17. Wilson finished the night with 255 yards and 2 touchdowns in the air, but also tacked on 32 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground. Badgers running back Montee Ball went off for 151 yards on 30 carries and 4 rushing touchdowns.
Nebraska was handled in the trenches by Wisconsin. Taylor Martinez had a rough night, completing just 11 of 22 passes for 176 yards and 3 interceptions. Martinez also ran the ball 20 times for just 60 yards and a touchdown. The Badgers held Nebraska to just 3.3 yards per carry on the ground and virtually nothing through the air. The Cornhuskers just couldn't get anything going offensively and couldn't get Wisconsin off the field.
