Tajh Boyd Injury Update: Clemson QB Convinced He'll Play Vs. Maryland

Stay connected with SB Nation

Are you unsure whether Clemson Tigers quarterback Tajh Boyd will play Saturday against the Maryland Terrapins? Boyd does not appear to be unsure. After suffering a hip injury against the Boston College Eagles, X-rays came up negative, but his status going forward wasn't entirely clear. He'd been upgraded to probable, which usually means good to go.

And according to offensive coordinator Chad Morris, you should expect to see Boyd in purple or orange or purple-on-orange or whatever artistry Clemson's equipment staff concocts this week:

Chad Morris on Tajh Boyd: "He told me he's going to play, and I believe him." Said he'd be "shocked" if Boyd doesn't play.

And if that doesn't do it for you:

Boyd's father, Tim Boyd, tells The Post & Courier that his son 'should be fine for next week' at Maryland. #Clemson hopes father knows best
