Oct 12, 2011 - Florida Gators redshirt sophomore linebacker Dee Finley has decided to transfer from the university, Jeff Barlis of The Gainesville Sun reports.
Where Finley will transfer to is unknown at this time.
A former five-star recruit by former head coach Urban Meyer's 2008 recruiting class, Finley has primarily played on special teams and in a reserve role, totaling 12 tackles, including one for a loss, during his 19-game career with the Gators. Finley was suspended for one game earlier this season after he was charged with resisting arrest without violence following a traffic stop on campus on September 12.
In that incident, Finley allegedly drove his scooter around a barricade. When he was pulled over by university police, Finley refused to provide information, perhaps due to him operating the scooter with a license that is suspended in both Florida and Alabama for failure to pay fines and appear in court.
