Baylor Vs. Texas A&M Score: Robert Griffin III Stakes Bears To First Quarter Lead

Stay connected with SB Nation

With Heisman Trophy candidate Robert Griffin III on one side and a combustible defense on the other, today's match-up between the Baylor Bears and Texas A&M Aggies seems set for a high score. Griffin and the Bears have struck first, scoring a first quarter touchdown to take a 7-0 lead.

Griffin found Kendall Wright for a six-yard touchdown pass that capped a 12-play, 73-yard drive. Griffin was typically surgical on the drive, and has completed nine of 11 passes for 66 yards on the day.

The Aggies have their fair share of offense, too, though, and are racking up over six yards per play. A Ryan Tannehill interception has helped keep them scoreless on the day, but it seems like it's a matter of time until the shootout is on at Kyle Field.
