Well, after a wild third quarter, things calmed down for Oklahoma State and Texas. In fact, the only points scored in the fourth quarter came from a safety by Oklahoma State. That didn't change the outcome of anything, other than perhaps giving Texas a little bit more respectable loss of 12 points rather than 14; the Cowboys still own, 38-26.
If you were watching the game on ABC, you're no doubt aware that this is the first time Texas has lost under Mack Brown when running for more than 200 yards in 71 such games. Of course, the Longhorns allowed 202 yards rushing to the Cowboys and got outgained overall (420-370).
Still, it's only the second-worst game by Texas against a team whose name starts with "Oklahoma." So that's progress. Oklahoma State, meanwhile, seems to be on a collision course for a rather large game on Dec. 3 with that other Oklahoma team.
