Arizona State Vs. Oregon: Ducks Take Late 21-17 Lead Into Half

Stay connected with SB Nation

After a furious first quarter that saw 21 points put on the board, both offenses have began to slow down. Sun Devils quarterback Brock Osweiler ended a strong half with an interception in the endzone to give Oregon a drive to take the lead 21-17.

Oregon's offense had been stagnant much of the first half, scoring thanks to untimely Arizona State penalties to keep drives alive, but went right down the field after the Cliff Harris interception. It took the Ducks three plays on three Darron Thomas passes, capped off by a 12-yard touchdown pass to David Paulson for the go ahead score.

Arizona State's offense has been able to move the football, but they'll need to get their running game going to be able to run the clock on Oregon's offense.
