Oklahoma Vs. Kansas Score: Jayhawks Keeping It Close In The Third, 27-17

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Kansas Jayhawks are hanging with the Oklahoma Sooners, trailing in the third quarter by a 27-17 margin. Considering the strength of the Sooners, and how the Jayhawks have performed thus far this year, it has to be considered at least a small moral victory so far.

All the scoring took place in the first half, with Oklahoma marching out to a 10-0 lead before Kansas answered with a touchdown of its own. In the second quarter, the Jayhawks knotted it up with a field goal, only to see Oklahoma blow the game open with two touchdowns in a little over a minute.

But Kansas didn't roll over, and answered with another touchdown as Darian Miller punched it in from two yards out. A field goal by Oklahoma just before the half gave the Sooners a 27-17 lead.

That's where it stands with five minutes to go in the third as Oklahoma is hanging on, but not blowing out Kansas.
