Tulane will make known the dismissal of coach Bob Toledo on Tuesday, according to reports.
The Tulane Green Wave have announced a 10:30 am CT press conference, presumably to announce the firing of head football coach Bob Toledo. Tammy Nunez of the Times-Picayune confirms your suspicions, citing a "source central to the football program." CBS Sports' Brett McMurphy reports offensive line coach Mark Hutson will take over as interim coach.
Since helming the Green Wave in 2007, Toledo has gone 15-38, reasonably par for the Tulane course as of late. The squad is 2-5 so far this season, most recently getting hammered by UTEP in a loss that had Toledo referring to bad roller coaster rides.
Huston has been Toledo's offensive line coach for all five years in Tulane. He previously coached at Eastern Illinois and Tulsa, worked as a graduate assistant at Oklahoma and served on Houston Nutt's staffs at Murray State, Boise State and Arkansas.
Up next for Tulane: the likewise lowly Memphis Tigers.
