If Boise State head coach Chris Peterson's words are taken to heart by the Bronco faithful, Air Force will be welcomed onto the blue turf with open arms on Saturday. You see, it's almost tradition to boo the ever-loving hell out of an opponent as they come out of the tunnel in college football, but Peterson doesn't want those in attendance to jeer Air Force. Instead, he's asked them to show some respect and applaud.↵
Here's Peterson's advice for the fans.
Chris Petersen has a request for BoiseSt fans: When Air Force comes into our stadium, we need to applaud those guys. No booing whatsoever. #BoiseState's Chris Petersen on fan protocol for Air Force entrance: "We need to salute them and we need to applaud them."↵
Of course, reversing the trend and getting a large stadium to break a habit for one game is difficult. But if there's a coach that could command his fan-base's attention and pull this off, it's probably Peterson.↵
