Oklahoma State Vs. Missouri Game Time, TV Schedule, Spread And Notes

Oklahoma State head to Faurot Field this Saturday to play a Missouri squad that's flying under the radar. A win would bring the Cowboys one big step closer to a matchup of undefeateds on Dec. 3 against Oklahoma.

Oklahoma State and Oklahoma are on a collision course. Granted, staying undefeated until the end of the season is difficult for anyone, even in a somewhat weaker-than-usual Big 12, but if both teams continue taking care of business, Dec. 3 should be one of the biggest days in conference history.

The Cowboys will have to get past the Missouri Tigers this week, however, a team that's probably better than their 3-3 record would indicate. Missouri was ranked to start the season, but dropped out due to some hard-fought losses. All three losses have come against teams ranked in the Top 25 of both major polls this week. Bill C. over at Rock M Nation, once again coming through with some above-and-beyond statistical analysis, hopes the Tigers can ruin the Cowboys' title chances like the Cowboys' ruined the Tigers' chances in 2008.

Oklahoma State is trying to position themselves for a rare (to say the least) shot at the national title, while a talented, forgotten Missouri team is fighting for respect. Mizzou has won 10 home games in a row (not that this matters to an opponent that has won eight consecutive road games), but they will need to summon every bit of the mojo they lost three years ago.

Oklahoma State seems to have the chops to compete with anyone in the nation, namely a fast-paced offense and a good-enough defense. They are touchdown favorites, but as Cowboys Ride For Free points out, no one really knows what this Tigers squad is capable of if they can put together a full 60 minutes

The short answer to what Missouri is, is inconsistent (duh). Depending on which game you watched them you may think they are good, great, terrible, or the concencus around here which seems to be, "the biggest obstacle to OSU getting to Bedlam with zero losses".

Saturday looms as one of the last remaining litmus tests for the Cowboys before Bedlam. For the Tigers, a win this weekend would go a long way towards exorcising the demons of 2008.
