Illinois Vs. Purdue Score: Illini In Danger Of Second Loss, Down 21-0 To Purdue

Stay connected with SB Nation

A week after taking its first loss against Ohio State at home, Illinois is well on its way to its second -- against Purdue? The Boilermakers have a 21-0 lead in the second quarter, looking for all the world like they might add another illustrious loss to the collection of Ron Zook mindbenders.

Caleb TerBush has two touchdown throws -- one of six yards and one of four -- and Raheem Mostert has a 21-yard run for Purdue's third score. TerBush is 11-of-14 for 136 yards, while eight rushers have combined for 78 yards on the ground.

Things have not gone as well for the Illini. They have just 51 yards of total offense so far, including 43 from Nathan Scheelhaase on a 4-of-9 day and just eight yards rushing. Illinois is 1-of-7 so far on third and fourth down.
