Justin Blackmon Injury: Oklahoma State Wide Receiver Out For Game, May Have Concussion

Stay connected with SB Nation

Oklahoma State's high-flying offense will be without its best wide receiver for at least the rest of this Saturday: Justin Blackmon is out for the rest of Oklahoma State's game against Missouri, reportedly as a "precautionary measure."

It was initially assumed that Blackmon had a shoulder injury, but Twitter is buzzing with the rumor that Blackmon, now on the sidelines with ice on his shoulder and without a helmet, sustained a concussion in the second quarter. He has not played since coming off the field with an injury.

Either way, Blackmon's loss is a major blow to the Cowboys offense. He came into Week 8 with 53 catches for 608 yards and seven touchdowns, leading Oklahoma State in all three categories.
