In a battle of the SEC's two teams of Tigers, LSU has had more than enough talent to beat up on Auburn, even without the suspended Tyrann Mathieu and Spencer Ware. LSU holds a 21-3 lead at halftime.
The Bayou Bengals have gotten touchdown passes from both Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee — both to Rueben Randle, who has five catches for 106 yards — and a touchdown run from Kenny Hilliard. And their defense has limited Auburn's running attack, holding the Tigers of the plains to 31 yards on 18 carries.
There's still a second half to go, but Auburn's in a hole that seems insurmountable. And there's no Cam Newton to save it this year.
