Robert Griffin III and the most efficient passing offense in the nation head to Stillwater to take on Justin Blackmon and the No. 3 ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys
The Oklahoma State Cowboys already controlled their own destiny en route to the BCS national title game thanks to a future meeting with the Oklahoma Sooners, but the loss of their hated rivals to the Texas Tech Red Raiders last week now has the pressure on the Cowboys in Stillwater. They've gotten through all of their early tests, and now face another potentially tricky game against Robert Griffin III and the Baylor Bears (3:30 ABC/ESPN2; ride here for Oklahoma State-Baylor score updates and here for game stories from around the country).
Robert Griffin has been the most efficient passer in college football this year, but he's looked human in Baylor's toughest two games to date. Oklahoma State Cowboys blog Cowboys Ride For Free is worried, but likes their odds of containing RGIII.
I think he's the best quarterback Oklahoma State has faced all season and the improved passing ability concerns me a little bit. He throws a damn fine ball. If you look at his 3 biggest games so far, the numbers are impressive
TCU: 359 yards, 5 TD, Win
@ Kansas State: 346 yards, 5 TD, 1 INT, Loss
@ Texas A&M: 430 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT, Loss
That's a trend I can live with. The guy's thrown 2 interceptions all year but each time he's done so they've lost the game. You think Bill Young and Brodrick "Shut Down" Brown are aware of this? I'd bet so.
So keep an eye on RG3, the Cowboy Defense and the turnover line on Saturday. An interception could be a major sign of another Cowboy victory.
Game date, time: 3:30 pm ET, Saturday, October 29
Location: Boone Pickens Stadium, Stillwater, Oklahoma
TV channel: ABC/ESPN2/ESPN3
Spread: Oklahoma State favored by 14
Series history: Oklahoma State leads all-time series 17-12
