Stanford Vs. USC Score: Third Overtime Ahoy!

Stay connected with SB Nation

And we're heading to triple-overtime in Los Angeles! This is the game that may never end, but at least it's coming down to two-point conversion going forward. And the second overtime wasn't without a bit of drama.

USC found the end zone on one of the better effort plays you'll see. Randall Telfer caught a Matt Barkley pass in the flat, broke a tackle and lunged for the end zone as he was being dragged backwards. The ball crossed the plane and USC had the first score of the second overtime.

But once again, Stanford answered back, using another methodical drive. Andrew Luck hit Levine Toilolo on an impressive throw and catch in the corner of the end zone and all that was left was the extra point to tie. But it didn't come easy.

Eric Whitaker shanked the extra point badly, but barely cleared the crossbar in the process. His wobbly kick made it through the uprights, though, knotting the score at 48.

It's two-pointers from here on out as the Cardinal and Trojans head to a third overtime.
