The No. 5 Boise St. Broncos are well on their way to improving to 5-0 on the season, jumping out to a 16-0 lead over the Fresno St. Bulldogs after one quarter of play.
Boise State got off to great start in "The Boneyard", with Heisman Trophy candidate Kellen Moore leading the offense on a 7-play, 76-yard drive that ended when he found wide receiver Matt Miller for a four-yard touchdown on third-and-goal to take a 7-0 lead. Dan Goodale kicked a 32-yard field goal to increase the lead to 10-0.
Two plays after the Goodale field goal, Fresno State running back Devon Wylie fumbled and the Broncos recovered at the Bulldogs' 25-yard line. On the very next play, Boise State junior wide receiver Mitch Burroughs took an end-around 25 yards for a touchdown. Goodale missed the extra point to keep it a two-score game.
