Missouri Vs. Kansas State Score: Wildcats Lead The Tigers In Defensive Struggle

Stay connected with SB Nation

Who said the Big 12 can't play defense? There's plenty of it being played in the showdown between Missouri and Kansas State; whether there's much in the way of offense is another matter entirely, with the Wildcats taking a 10-3 lead.

Neither team is exactly tearing up the field. Only Missouri hit the 150-yard mark -- and not by much -- in the first half, and Kansas State scored its sole touchdown after a James Franklin interception set up a 21-yard drive. Quarterback Collin Klein, who cashed in with a two-yard run, leads the Wildcats in all-purpose yards with 29. He's 7-of-9 for 49 yards passing.

Franklin has recovered since the pick; he's 7-of-14 for 88 yards overall. Grant Ressel hit the 32-yard field goal to get the Tigers on the board. Henry Josey carried the ball seven times for 50 yards.
