Arizona State Vs. Utah Halftime Score: Sun Devils Hold Slim Edge

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Utah Utes are having a hard time moving the ball minus starting quarterback Jordan Wynn and against an athletic Arizona St. Sun Devils defense. The Utes have 181 yards at the half and are averaging 5.1 per rush, but two turnovers have helped Sparky secure a 10-7 advantage after two periods. In relief, quarterback Jon Hays is nine-of-18 for 94 yards and a pair of picks.

The time of possession gains haven't meant much for Arizona State, which boasts 3.1 yards per rush and 11 incompletions in 26 pass attempts. Still, only 25 yards worth of penalties so far for the Sun Devils, who lead the Pac-12 in yellow flags so far this season.
