Alabama Vs. Vanderbilt Score: A.J. McCarron TD Pass Has Crimson Tide In 7-0 Lead

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Vanderbilt Commodores defense has kept the Alabama Crimson Tide in check through the first quarter-and-a-half. Quarterback A.J. McCarron's touchdown pass in the first quarter remains the only score in the 7-0 game.

McCarron has been sharp so far, completing 10 of 13 passes for 69 yards. McCarron took the Crimson Tide from his own 23-yard line to the Vandy six-yard line before he found Brad Smelley for the touchdown. Alabama's running game has been silent for most of the game. Trent Richardson has just five carries for 26 yard and a long run of 20 yards.

Vanderbilt missed a 38-yard field goal attempt late in the second quarter. Will Alabama score before the end of the half?
