Stay connected with SB Nation

After Nebraska scored 21 unanswered points on Ohio State, back up quarterback Joe Bauserman threw a deep pass that was intercepted. After the turnover, Nebraska marched right down the field on 4 plays that went 78 yards to take the lead. Nebraska running back Rex Burkhead punched the ball from 17 yards out to put the Huskers up 34-27.

To answer, Ohio State took the ensuing kick off and decided to go three-and-out after two straight horrible incompletions by quarterback Joe Bauserman. The last thing Ohio State needed if they wanted to get back into the game was a three-and-out and give Nebraska's hot offense the ball back. The Huskers have now scored 28 unanswered points in the second half.
