At half time the Ohio State Buckeyes had a comfortable 27-6 lead after their opening drive of the second half. It looked like Nebraska was going to drop their second straight Big 10 game, until Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller got knocked out of the game. The Huskers bagan a rally with an 18-yard touchdown run by quarterback Taylor Martinez and never looked back.
Nebraska went on to score 28 unanswered points to complete the 21 point comeback victory, 34-27. Martinez led the Huskers on the ground and through the air, passing for 185 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for 100 yards and another touchdown. Nebraska running back Rex Burkhead also assisted in the comeback, rushing for 117 yards and touchdown, as well as getting 59 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The game turned for Ohio State when quarterback Joe Bauserman took over and the Buckeyes offense became nonexistent. Bauserman couldn't hit his receivers to convert third downs and threw a critical interception late that setup Nebraska to tie the football game. Bauserman ended the day completing just 1 of 10 passes for 13 yards and the aforementioned interception.
Ohio State falls to 3-3 on the season and 0-2 in the Big 10 while Nebraska picks up their first win in the Big 10, moving to 5-1 and 1-1 in the division.
